Rule 141
Medicinal treatment expenses
:(1) During the period of service, the police personnel shall be entitled to medical expenses up to the amount of salary equal to twelve months if they are gazetted category police officers, eighteen months if they are gazetted first class police officers and twenty one months if they are other gazetted and non-gazetted police officers. Will receive the application.
(2) If a police officer or a member of his family falls ill, the following expenses shall be paid, not exceeding the amount to be received under sub-rule (1):-
(a) Medical expenses purchased according to the prescription obtained during examination by an approved physician for the treatment of disease,
(b) Expenses as per the bill incurred during admission and treatment in health association institutions,
(c) Expenses recommended by the head of the concerned office, in the case of the head of the office, by the head of the taluk office, and in the case of the Inspector General of Police, by the secretary of the ministry, for treatment in hospitals and places where there is no approved doctor. (d) Expenditure according to the bill incurred for all types of surgical operations except plastic surgery,
(e) Expenses as per the bill incurred for glasses, teeth, herring-aid etc. equipment to the extent prescribed by the Government of Nepal from time to time by issuing order,
(f) When leaving his home or camp and going to another district or abroad for medical treatment, the entire amount of the transportation expenses of the patient and up to one person in case of need for medical treatment while reaching such place and returning, and seventy-five percent of the daily allowance received by the sick police officer according to the rules for food expenses. . Explanation: For the purpose of this sub-rule, "Approved Medical Practitioner" means a doctor, Kaviraj, Health Assistant Medical Practitioner who is in government service or who is registered as a medical practitioner under the prevailing law.
(3) If a police officer who has been injured while working in the course of government work and is unable to receive medical treatment in Nepal, the medical board constituted by the Government of Nepal has recommended that if the police officer wants to go abroad for treatment, the Government of Nepal may give him additional financial assistance as deemed appropriate.
(4) The treatment to be received according to this rulef If a police officer wants to take it as an advance and the reason is considered reasonable, the advance amount can be given by submitting an account after being subject to this rule. If the amount submitted in that way exceeds the amount received for treatment, the excess amount will be deducted from the salary of the concerned police personnel in installments. If the amount to be deducted is not paid and the concerned police officer or a member of his family dies, the remaining amount to be deducted will be waived.
(5) A police employee who is separated from the service in other cases, except in the case of being disqualified for government service in the future, will be entitled to receive the remaining amount as a lump sum, with or without taking some of the medical expenses received during the service period.
(6) If a police employee who has been retired from service to receive pension has completed twenty-five years of service and has completed twenty-five years of service, he will be entitled to receive an additional ten percent of the medical expenses as per sub-rule (1) as a lump sum when he leaves the job.
(7) If a police officer is dismissed from the service for any other reason, except for the case where he has been dismissed before the completion of ten years of service, his son-in-law shall be given medical expenses according to this rule, assuming a period of ten years of service.
(8) In accordance with this rule, except when admitted to a health institution or having to go abroad for treatment, a police employee will not be given more than an amount equivalent to one and a half months' salary earned in a year.
(9) According to this rule, the details of the medical expenses received by the police personnel shall be kept by the office of expense recording and sent to the police library as well.
(10) If the district health center recommends that the police personnel or their families in remote areas are in danger of death if they cannot be treated by the local health center, the government of Nepal will pay the expenses incurred in taking them to a place with treatment facilities and returning them from there.
(11) With police personnelThe employee concerned will be entitled to receive ninety percent of the treatment expenses according to the bill up to the base of that amount, which will be deducted from the amount of the maximum treatment expenses that the patient's spouse, mother, father or son or daughter of the patient will receive according to this regulation. When claiming such treatment expenses, the doctor's prescription stating the diagnosis of the disease must also be submitted. The medical expenses to be received according to this sub-rule shall not exceed one month's salary of the concerned police personnel at one time.
(12) If the spouse, mother, father, or minor son or daughter of a police officer falls ill and goes abroad for treatment or is admitted to a hospital in the country and undergoes surgery or treatment, the expenses incurred according to the hospital bill and the prescription or treatment of the hospital doctor. Ninety percent of the expenses incurred according to the bill incurred in the hospital and the medical treatment incurred according to the prescription of the hospital doctor will be received from the amount received by the police personnel according to sub-rule (2).
(13) Regardless of what is written in sub-rules (11) and (12), the spouse, mother, father or the employee of a police employee who is in government service or in the service of an organization owned or controlled by the government shall not be entitled to such medical expenses. > (14) Departmental action will be taken against the approved doctor (if an employee) who proves such lie, including the police personnel, who claims or receives treatment expenses according to this rule by submitting a false claim.
